National Museums- Landmarks in Washington D.C.

There are several National Museums starting from 1st  Street and ending with 15 th street in the Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington D.C. Due to limited time availability, we have restricted our visits to a few of the museums, though all the museums are very good. In my opinion The Botanic Garden is visited by young children from Schools. The teenage flock to the National Museum of Natural History. The elder generations enjoys the Smithsonian Air and Space museum for the information of the past and a sense of achievement. When photography is prohibited, please do not try to take one, as the camera is costlier than the photograph.

Places around Washington Monument
The Capitol Building, Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial fall in a straight line separated by a distance of 2 miles ( 3.2 kilo metres). For the visitors who are coming to Washington for the first time, it is better to go to Union Station and buy a conducted tour site seeing ticket with the hop-in hop-out facility, as it commences around 11:00 am local time. Most of the museums are open from 10 am to 05:30 pm. Souvenirs are available in most of the museum shops.
